Who you are

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required
  • At least 4 years direct experience in paid social media management and 6 years combined experience in related fields of paid media, social media, media analytics, ad optimization, email automation or digital analytics. Relevant certifications, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn Learning and Demandbase ABM certifications, are a plus
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in paid social media management and experience in related fields of paid media, social media, media analytics, ad optimization, email automation or a combination of related fields related to paid media and social performance
  • Top candidates are creative, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication and project management skills
  • Experience within agencies working with various clients or enterprise B2B companies with extended sales funnel scenarios is a must for the role

What the job involves

  • The Paid Social Media Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition, content engagement, and upsell with emphasis on reporting and optimization of various digital media channels in multiple countries globally
  • This role will have greatest emphasis on management and optimization of paid social media campaigns across various platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Reddit, Instagram and YouTube
  • Additional paid channels may regularly be leveraged as well essential tactics such as ABM Display, Retargeting display and paid search
  • Your expertise and analysis of outcomes will help to drive actionable insights and gradually improve campaign effectiveness to drive value for the business
  • Applied Paid Media Experience:
  • The candidate should possess a natural understanding of how to plan and build and execute paid media campaigns to support performance media marketing strategies meant to drive customer acquisition, visitor engagement and upselling down the sales funnel
  • Paid media basics of audience building, ad development, tracking and trafficking processes should be well understood
  • Around audience criteria and campaign objectives to promote content while applying different marketing tactics necessary across full-funnel marketing scenarios
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Strong communication skills are essential for a Marketing Manager at Equinix
  • Candidates should be able to effectively discuss key tactics, campaign plans and recommendations to stakeholders, content leaders, media team members and leadership to align marketing strategies and ensure consistent messaging and branding with emphasis on measurement report building and insights
  • They should be able to collaborate regularly internally with media team, externally with vendors and agencies, and as needed with cross-functional teams, including creative, content strategy, social media, alliance partners, regional and product teams
  • Candidates should have some comfort and previous experience developing presentations in collaboration with managers and stakeholders to share with other partners and leadership
  • As well as the ability to effectively report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders, providing regular updates on campaign performance and trending progress over time
  • Project Management:

  • Vendor Management:
  • Manage relationships with external media vendors and agencies, ensuring effective collaboration, task management and delivery of services against expected SLAs
  • Agencies should regularly monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to media team, providing regular updates on campaign performance, proactive tactical updates and trending progress over time
  • Continuous Learning:
  • The candidate should have a natural curiosity for personal improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with ad industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital marketing, and provide recommendations to teams and stakeholders regularly
  • They conduct thorough research and analysis to identify key trends, sentiment monitoring and competitor strategies to inform stronger campaign planning and optimization
  • They should actively champion benefits of paid media in global marketing as a channel
  • Education and coaching of others regularly is expected to help convey expertise within the function
  • Other Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement and manage digital marketing across various channels, with emphasis on paid social
  • Some responsibilities may include occasional work or collaboration in search engine marketing (SEM), display advertising, SEO, audience retargeting, video and content marketing
  • Build functional campaigns based on marketing team strategy and KPIs to drive customer acquisition and engagement Developing and executing paid social media campaigns that align with overall marketing objectives and target audience
  • Creating compelling ad copy, visuals, and landing pages to maximize campaign performance
  • Some comfort in design applications and ability to regularly collaborate with organic social and creative teams to develop engaging and visually appealing ad content and video edits
  • Trafficking, measuring and managing paid social media campaigns, including budget allocation, bid management, and targeting
  • Experience reporting on campaign performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders
  • Building, segmenting and testing audiences to connect more effectively with for engagement and more efficiently for paid investments
  • Expert understanding of paid social channel settings, audience building and right-sizing budgeting and potential volume for ABM and prospecting audiences using demand generation and awareness-oriented content
  • Proficiency in analytics tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate daily campaign performance, analyzing data, and gather actionable insights to optimize campaigns and achieve KPIs
  • Conducting testing of various promotional elements to refine audience targeting, messaging, platform settings, ad types and creative elements
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, platform updates, and best practices in paid social media advertising
  • Managing effective relationships with external vendors, agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure campaign success
  • Evangelizing social media tactics and coaching others on best practices
  • Continuously evaluating and recommending new paid social media opportunities and strategies to drive business growth
