Who you are

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience and 6+ years of work experience in business development with demonstrated experience in online measurement partnerships
  • You are strategic, driven, and analytical with a passion for the online advertising industry and technology
  • You are comfortable navigating the evolving privacy and regulatory landscape and understand the implications to Pinterest and the measurement ecosystem broadly
  • You are experienced in performing broad quantitative analysis and negotiating complex deals
  • You have experience and knowledge of the online advertising industry and measurement partner ecosystem
  • You have the ability to work effectively with cross-functional senior executives in a rapidly changing environment

  • The Business Development team at Pinterest is responsible for developing partner strategy, as well as sourcing, evaluating, executing and managing partnerships that are a critical lever for growth and progress of the company against key strategic initiatives
  • The team works closely with senior leadership, product, marketing, legal and revenue teams to deliver these partnerships
  • The Business Development Lead for Measurement Partnerships source and evaluate new partnerships and manage existing strategic partnerships with measurement partners that help prove advertising performance for Pinterest
  • This position will report to the Director of BD for Advertising and Measurement Partnerships
  • Lead partner strategy for Measurement and Targeting partnerships, including helping the company understand the industry landscape to identify opportunities
  • Actively monitor, synthesize, inform, and action off industry trends (including privacy and regulatory) and opportunities in service of proving ad performance on Pinterest
  • Lead the process of identifying partnerships to pursue, including building the business case through strategic/financial analysis and due diligence
  • Negotiate complex deals
  • Build relationships with leaders at emerging and established companies
  • Coordinate deal execution and partner management across relevant teams including product, engineering, legal, marketing and sales
  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times per half, and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country

Pinterest has not been immune to woes affecting the global tech sector and made about 5% of its workforce redundant at the end of 2022 and the start of 2023. Having restructured to face a challenging climate, it is well-positioned to resume its growth, which has increased consistently year on year. Its immediate goals are to continue to grow its user base and expand the uptake of its short video product, which it aims to monetize.
