Role

Who you are

  • 3+ years in a partner marketing or growth, marketing, BD or similar role
  • A deep understanding of partner and channel lead generation and what it takes to activate partners (partner referral dynamics, sharing leads, etc)
  • An analytical and strategic background or mindset: you’ll need to get in the weeds with Excel, Looker/Tableau and other analytics tools from time to time
  • Experience working at a fast growth startup, or in a similar 0 to 1 space
  • Strong customer or partner facing experience
  • Highly strategic and analytical with strong marketing acumen
  • Easily adaptable and can navigate ambiguity
  • An adept project manager who can juggle dozens of tasks and work streams simultaneously
  • An excellent relationship builder and are comfortable interacting with all sizes of partners
  • Execution oriented and able to get in the weeds to build from 0 to 1
  • Results oriented and revenue focused

What the job involves

  • Own all US SMB partner marketing and help us scale our partnerships
  • Create our first partner marketing strategy in the US and own the strategy, execution and end to end metrics
  • Own co-marketing with partners to generate leads: including developing content, case studies, setting up and managing events, executing webinars and more
  • Manage the marketing and PR launches of all new partners
  • Work closely with our partner leaders to represent Airwallex on partner sites and in partner products and represent partners on Airwallex’s sites
  • Develop thought leadership content (e.g., eBooks, joint webinars, white papers, videos) with partners
  • Develop and own a partner newsletter and work with partners on joint emails and newsletters
  • Analyze results from joint campaigns and adjust your approach accordingly
  • Manage joint blog content with partners

Business is increasingly globalised, so there are many more companies selling to a broader base of international customers. These businesses need to be able to transfer foreign revenues back to their home currency, but this can be an expensive and time-consuming process. Airwallex exists to make this process painless and is aiming to disrupt the foreign exchange market for businesses the same way Transferwise did for consumers.

While it counts traditional banks as competitors, Airwallex stands out by its pricing, saving clients as much as 90% on foreign exchange rates vs. traditional banks. It also provides a range of financial solutions including corporate cards and expense management software, as well as a range of integrations into most commonly used accounting packages. This has seen its product adopted by over 20,000 corporate customers.

Founded in 2015 in Melbourne, Australia, Airwallex has grown to be one of the leaders in fintech with a valuation exceeding $5 billion and a global reach. Recently focusing on the APAC region, the company has expanded into Singapore and Malaysia, in addition to its increasing its presence in Hong Kong and mainland China. Having experienced 100% year on year customer growth over 2022 off the back of impressive Series E funding, this focus seems to be paying off.
