Who you are

  • 8+ years of leadership communications experience with senior executives – preferably in Financial Services or FinTech global organization within the retail or technology sectors
  • Bachelor’s required – preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation and design skills
  • Ability to cut through with a succinct, modern style
  • Highly proficient user of PowerPoint and Keynote
  • Strong digital and social storytelling and engagement experience
  • Complex organizational and cultural change management experience
  • Strong Internet and general business acumen
  • Practiced capacity to manage complex projects with multiple partners navigating conflict and developing consensus
  • Bring a business outcomes mindset to communications work
  • Technology savvy. keen understanding of all types of channels
  • Passion for improving and sustaining employee engagement
  • Proven track record to work with partners at all levels
  • Experience managing and participating in project teams in a matrixed environment without direct reports

What the job involves

  • The Lead Manager, Employee Communications role with eBay is dedicated to driving compelling internal and external communications, engagement, and cultural change at one of the world’s iconic brands!
  • Partnering directly with senior executives and Global Payments, Payments Tech and Risk partners, the person in this role will work to develop and deliver communications for key partnerships, new product launches, programs and initiatives internally and externally!
  • This is a hands-on role where you will be both conceiving the strategy and delivering most of that strategy’s tactical elements. Examples of day-to-day work include developing communications plans for new product launches, supporting All Hands, Board and external PPT presentations
  • Writing, producing, and editing written messages and video communication for a range of channels, producing global all-hands events – both in person and virtually, writing briefings, talking points and crafting slides and content for external speaking and media opportunities, and working with product leaders across the company
  • You’ll need to partner effectively with executives and product leads along with agency partners and the media to drive active understanding and engagement with our brand, our business goals and priorities, and eBay’s purpose to empower people to create economic opportunity for all
