Who you are
- Development Experience: Over 5 years of hands-on, relevant experience crafting applications and user-interfaces, ensuring intuitive and user-friendly experiences
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in React and Typescript, with a knack for diving deep into the intricacies of the entire application lifecycle, web services, and associated databases
- Frontend Frameworks Savviness: Strong grasp of Javascript and CSS norms, and a solid understanding of the Document Object Model (DOM)
- Versatile Skillset: Solid grasp of software development fundamentals, encompassing data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and familiarity with various protocols like SOAP, REST, and GraphQL, along with server-side languages like SQL
- Skilled Communication: Ability to communicate technical ideas or issues in easy-to-understand and actionable terms
- User Focus: Empathy and care for the user/customer experience
- Bonus: Proficiency with Python as well as experience in AI, legal tech, and social impact projects
What the job involves
- Our Client Portal team is on the lookout for a Fullstack Software Engineer who will help us harness the power of AI tools and data processing to empower our users in creating their own documents
- Your work will directly impact our customers by reducing churn and enhancing the usability of our suite portal
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and machine learning teams to build novel AI-powered product experiences, ensuring our users receive nothing but the best
- Build and refine the experience of our AI-driven platform to deliver an intuitive, responsive and user-friendly interface
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product owners & designers to develop efficient, innovative solutions
- Implement robust, maintainable, reusable code in a modern tech-stack including React, Typescript, and other technologies
- Actively engage in the full project lifecycle across the stack, with full ownership from conception to deployment and iteration
- Conceptualize the design and and development of interfaces and integration architecture
- Optimizing application performance and responsiveness to ensure a smooth user experience
Our take
Every year, millions of personal injury cases in the US are resolved with only a small fraction going to trial, leaving many victims potentially under-compensated due to inaccurate settlement proposals. EvenUp aims to change this by leveraging AI technology to streamline the assessment of injury cases.
The AI tools evaluate raw case files, including medical and police records, creating tailored "demand packages" that present comprehensive compensation arguments. This improves lawyer performance and victim outcomes.
Despite concerns about AI bias and privacy, EvenUp has garnered significant investor interest, closing a funding round in 2023 to drive growth. The company plans to introduce new techniques and products for personal injury and other legal areas.
