Role

Who you are

  • Demonstrated full cycle sales experience in data, Cloud, or SaaS technologies
  • Experience developing pipeline and opening new accounts, including lead generation
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously at various stages of the buying process
  • Successful experience navigating complex sales cycles using MEDDIC or similar methodology
  • Proven negotiation and closing skills

What the job involves

  • Carry an annual ARR quota in direct sales to customers with a focus on account penetration and ARR growth
  • Responsible for pipeline generation, including outbound prospecting to drive new logos
  • Drive opportunities using MEDDIC principles. Define success criteria for demos / POVs. Identify key stakeholders within opportunities. Articulate ROI relevant to key stakeholders
  • Articulate Eppo’s value proposition throughout the sales process and overcome objections and contractual hurdles with customers
  • Lead all customer communication including discovery calls and demos, through to POV (Proof of Value) support and technical support sessions alongside our Sales Engineering team
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships across Eppo including product, marketing, and engineering
  • Act as the voice of the customer and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement across all areas

Effective A/B testing (building and comparing the performance of two versions of an app) is of obvious importance for data science teams, but experimentation infrastructure can be very complex to build. Eppo aims to solve this problem by allowing data scientists to run experiments with automated analysis, diagnostics, and investigations on one platform.

The company was created by former Airbnb and Webflow data scientist Chetan Sharma who, having built early experimentation infrastructures for these companies, realized that a better commercial solution was needed to avoid re-building systems from scratch while A/B testing.

Eppo emerged from stealth midway through 2022 with major funding from Menlo Ventures to fuel its expansion. It's worth noting, however, that competition is already hot in the app experimentation niche, with companies like Split and Optimizely offering similar services.

As it looks to catch up with and eventually overtake the field, Eppo is banking on its product offering better overall performance through more effective analysis tools and AI experimentation.
