Who you are
- A strong background in Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a tech company
- Preferably located in San Francisco or the Bay Area
- A quick and adaptable learner, able to take on multiple roles
- Deep passion for blockchain technology
- Proactive and self-motivated, with effective communication skills in English
What the job involves
- Fully comprehend the design of OAK automation module and Polkadot’s XCM protocol
- Create high-quality XCM integration plans for our parachain partners
- Write technical instructions such as node upgrade documentation
- Coordinate with network validator for node upgrades
- Work directly with the CEO to translate product roadmap into actionable engineering implementation plans
- Track velocity towards key milestones, while making it visible to the wider team and community using Github projects, Lucidchart, and Notion

OAK Network builds DeFi and payment automation infrastructure, which enables users to schedule automated future and recurring payments based on on-chain events without the use of code, AWS servers of private key delegation.
While one-time transactions on the blockchain are pretty straightforward, setting up future or recurring payments at an unknown future price is a complex task, fraught with security risks, high expenses and requiring fairly comprehensive coding knowledge. It’s a problem that the vast majority of payment automation solutions haven't fully figured out yet, creating a huge opportunity for OAK Network.
The company, which launched in 2020, has been making encouraging progress thus far. It’s forged a number of tech partnerships with well-known blockchain service providers including BiFrost, SubWallet, and Web3Go. As well as this, it's secured substantial funding to grow its headcount and continue working on consumer-friendly DeFi solutions.
