What the job involves

  • As a Sales Engineer, you are customer centric and sales driven
  • You are responsible for understanding the technical aspects of Outsight Solutions and translating that information into terms understood by customers and partners
  • You will work with the Sales team to close deals by developing creative solutions and architectures to solve customer business challenges, and by problem-solving any potential technical roadblocks
  • Deliver engaging presentations and demonstrations showcasing the features, benefits, and competitive advantages of our offerings at customer sites or trade shows
  • Assess customer requirements, accurately estimate project scope and costs, craft compelling proposals and technical bids that align with our clients' needs while working closely with different teams to ensure a seamless coordination of technical and commercial responses to clients
  • As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you develop a comprehensive understanding of the Outsight solution's functionality, specifications, and competitive advantages
  • Train customers on how to use products and services
  • Work with engineers to design and develop new features and functionality for the software solution
  • Manage and prioritize requirements from multiple stakeholders while considering R&D constraints and project timelines
  • Regularly report customer and product statuses to management, providing insights for decision-making
  • If needed, specify the application layer to customers
  • Stay updated on solution updates, enhancements, and industry trends

Outsight has combined the software assets of its parent company Dibotics with 3D sensor technology to create a LiDAR pre-processor designed to help make smarter, safer vehicles, and add spatial AI to buildings like stores and airports. Importantly, however, Outsight’s business model is focused on providing a simpler plug-and-play LiDAR solution, to close the gap between LiDAR early adopters and the mainstream market.

Helping more companies easily tap into LiDAR’s full situational awareness capabilities in our growing network of interconnected, smart environments is likely to prove a winning strategy for Outsight going forwards. Outsight has already proven attractive to international clients across a number of highly lucrative fields including industrial automation, driverless cars, and drones.

Outsight has carved out a slightly different niche for itself and has netted a substantial base of clients who are dipping their toes into this new technology as the market opens up to more participants. The company's late 2022 funding is being used to further develop its industrial edge and cloud application offerings.
