Who you are

  • You have a proven track record of being data-driven, operational in your approach and leading innovative campaigns to success
  • The ideal candidate is skilled in defining a complete buyer journey at each stage of the funnel with the ability to translate messaging frameworks into effective campaigns
  • You enjoy building and scaling demand generation programs in a fast-paced collaborative environment
  • You are skilled at orchestrating an integrated campaign, and have the ability to think both strategically and execute at an operational level with ease
  • 5+ years of demand generation experience at a B2B technology company. Industry experience is a plus
  • Proven track record of developing and executing integrated campaigns across key channels that generate pipeline
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms with brand voice and conversion in mind across multiple campaign channels
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong understanding of funnel metrics and their impact on campaign strategy
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience using automation and analytics platforms such as Marketo, Salesforce, Tableau, and Outreach
  • You enjoy working with a sales team and have experience managing this relationship as a key marketing partner
  • Exceptional communication skills; you are able to clearly and concisely craft messages to internal and external stakeholders, including presenting to management teams

What the job involves

  • As the Senior Campaign Manager, you will be responsible for owning, developing, and executing campaigns that generate pipeline and increase market adoption of our new AI-first products
  • In this role, you’re highly cross functional – working closely with sales, PMM, field and brand to design integrated campaigns that move prospects through the B2B funnel
  • Campaign Planning and Execution: Develop and execute integrated campaigns that engage prospects in a meaningful way resulting in pipeline generation aligned to key segments
  • Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end campaign process including planning, execution, and tracking of tactical campaign activities. Ensure all campaign deliverables
  • Content Partnership: Collaborate with the content team to identify and recommend assets and offers that map to the buyer journey at each stage of the funnel
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze campaign performance data, including funnel metrics to derive insights and make data-driven recommendations
  • Funnel metrics: Monitor and report on funnel metrics to understand lead progression and identify opportunities to inform campaign strategy
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with cross functional teams including sales, PMM, content, field and brand to ensure campaign alignment with business objectives to maximize impact
  • Optimization: Monitor and optimize campaigns through A/B testing, segmentation and other best practices to improve effectiveness and efficiency

Our take

If you've ever seen a chat pop up on a business' website, it was probably provided by Intercom. Though ubiquitous now, it used to be a major challenge for companies to communicate swiftly with their customers. Intercom's Messenger allows a company to instantly reach out with human or automated support, improving customer service and greatly increasing conversion rates for sales.

While the Messenger is its most visible product, Intercom provides a service similar to Salesforce, as an advanced customer relationship management system. However, Intercom doesn't see Salesforce as a major rival, as Intercom specialises in the online market while Salesforce is more suited for traditional retail. Intercom is used by more than 25,000 businesses including Amazon, Meta and Atlassian, and reaches an estimated 600 million end users monthly.

Intercom has primarily served the US and Irish markets but has been expanding its presence globally in recent years. Despite having a commanding market position, it is continuing to develop its product, most recently delivering a major functionality upgrade to its Messenger software, greatly increasing its ability to carry out ticketed support requests.
