Who you are
- We are searching the cosmos for a Rust Developer - an extraordinary explorer who's ready to journey into the exciting world of blockchain technology with us
- The ideal candidate for this role is not only skilled with Rust, but is a motivated individual with a strong willingness to take on new challenges in the rapidly evolving field of blockchain technology
- Mastery in wielding the language of Rust
- A seasoned warrior with professional engineering experience
- Holding a BA or BS degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or carrying equivalent practical experience
- An insatiable desire to learn and implement new programming languages
- A strong understanding of software development practices and software architecture
- Outstanding communication skills and project management abilities. Your voice carries weight in our fellowship, and we look forward to your strategic input!
What the job involves
- You'll need to be both autonomous and collaborative - capable of crafting your own path through unexplored terrain, but always ready to join forces with your team when it's time to take on a shared challenge
- Research and develop blockchain technology written in Rust/Substrate
- Develop sturdy back-end web services that will interact with the blockchain landscapes we discover
- Collaborate enthusiastically with the small team, planning and owning projects that will leave a lasting mark on the realm
- Develop products and services of the highest quality, using innovative and cutting-edge technologies to breathe life into ideas
- Constantly quest for new knowledge, being forever ready to learn and implement new programming languages
Our take
Smart Contracts are computer programs on a blockchain which automatically activate when terms of agreement are met. They’re a fairly new innovation, but they’re generating a lot of excitement for their potential to replace intermediaries and quickly settle agreements.
T3rn is attempting to further innovate the nascent smart contract hosting landscape with its open source platform that allows for interoperable, multi-chain execution on the Polkadot ecosystem. Contracts stored there are open to all, while developers can monetize their own created contracts.
It’s still very early for T3rn, which was founded in 2020. However, as well as partnerships with Polkadot and the Web3 Foundation, the company has also won financial backing from Digital Finance Group and Polychain Capital as it looks to hugely influence the overall growth of Web3.
