Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate is required to have two to four years of progressively increasing responsibilities in an IT Support role, with an emphasis on providing responsive, high-quality support
- 2+ years of providing hands-on and remote IT Support, including wireless network troubleshooting, audio and video conferencing, remote collaboration tools and printer support
- 2+ years of experience in the Information Technology Field
- 2+ years supporting, working with, and administering at least one of the following SaaS Applications: Google Workspace, JIRA, Okta, Zoom, Office 365, and Slack
- Experience with Jamf Pro, Intune, and other MDM platforms
- Network troubleshooting experience with Ruckus, Meraki, etc
- Familiarity with Atlassian products and other ticketing platforms
- Outstanding communication skills: You have very detailed case notes as well as KB articles, and you have the ability to articulate complex concepts into noncomplex jargon
- Have a curiosity for tech with a strong desire to learn and develop new skills
- Understanding of standard IT processes such as asset management, employee lifecycle, etc
- A strong dedication to developing technically and to delivering world-class customer service
- In-depth knowledge supporting Windows & Mac Operating Systems

- Providing full-service internal IT Support to Confluent employees around the globe
- Advanced troubleshooting of hardware and applications, providing technical support and problem-solving
- Communication with our users and staff to understand, identify, document and resolve problems
- Resolve problems in a timely manner or escalate on behalf of users to IT leads or managers
- Be well-organized and highly efficient when managing your work
- Be a documentation champion, crafting and refining processes as the organization scales
- Help, teach, and mentor junior colleagues

Our take
Confluent is a commercial company built on top of the open-source Apache Kafka project. Confluent and Kafka have developed a streaming data technology that processes massive amounts of information in real-time.
The streaming database technology was developed at LinkedIn as a way of moving massive amounts of messages. The company decided to open-source that tech in 2011, and Confluent launched as the commercial arm in 2014.
While the base open-source component remains available for free download, it doesn’t include the additional tooling the company has built to make it easier for enterprises to use Kafka. Confluent's value add is in those additional tools, including a cloud version of the product and a marketplace for sharing extensions to the platform.
Confluent expanded strategic partnerships with Microsoft and acquired Immerok, and in 2023 expanded its cloud platform. 2024 saw further product expansions with the launch of the Confluent Migration Accelerator, all exemplifying how the company is living up to its name by rocket-boosting the benefits of Apache Kafka integration for companies.
