Who you are

  • The ideal candidate is someone with strong writing skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and has a knack for making complex information easily and clearly understood by a non-technical audience
  • 2-5 years of technical writing experience
  • Excellent written skills in English.Strong organizational and project management skills.Knowledge of content authoring and management tools
  • Ability to translate highly technical information into easily understandable information for end users
  • Creative skills and the ability to incorporate videos or images to increase user understanding of the material
  • Experience using a corporate style guide, and following documentation processes and best practices
  • Proficiency in English is required for this position. As part of this role, you will be required to communicate with colleagues or customers who use English as their primary language

Desirable

  • Knowledge of DITA, XML, and single source content management systems
  • French writing skills

What the job involves

  • GreenShield Health is looking for a Technical Writer to join our Product team
  • You will be developing technical content for our Help Centres, UX copy, video tutorials, internal knowledge base materials, release notes, and other content that assembles technical and business information clearly
  • This position will report to the Technical Writing Team Lead and work closely with them and the Technical Writing team to complete technical writing tasks
  • Develop clear and concise end-user facing content for GreenShield Health's software products
  • Work closely with the Technical Writers, Product Managers, Software Engineers, and QA specialists to understand feature specifications and use cased
  • Help operationalize releases and features by producing help content and tutorials for a non-technical audience, to help drive the use of our products
  • Review and copy edit writing by other writers or colleagues
  • Create visual content for help content, such as diagrams, screenshots, or short videos
  • Write release notes descriptions and assemble release notes documents
  • Write UX copy and microcopy in collaboration with our Design team
  • By requiring English proficiency for this position, we aim to ensure that our employees can excel in their roles, collaborate, and communicate effectively, and contribute to the success of our organization
