Senior Software Engineer, Confluent

• You will have a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• You will have 4+ years of experience designing, building, operating and supporting large-scale systems in production with a solid grasp on good software engineering practices such as code reviews, deep focus on quality, and documentation
• Proficiency in GoLang, or proficiency in an equivalent language and a willingness to learn GoLang

Desirable

• The Infrastructure Security team is responsible for deploying and operating security services that are used by hundreds of services over the tens of thousands of hosts that comprise Confluent Cloud
• We are responsible for secret issuance, workload identity, server-to-server authentication, workload monitoring, image signing and verification along with various other security-critical components
• You will write and test production-quality, highly-scalable code using GoLang
• You will deploy infrastructure in AWS, GCP and Azure making heavy use of Terraform and Kubernetes
• You will become familiar with various open source projects that we build on top of (e.g. HashiCorp Vault, SPIFFE/SPIRE, Falco)
