What the job involves
- Have a broad vision of the overall ongoing tech work to be the touchpoint with the founder
- "Glue work": help optimize the tooling and processes of the tech team
- Help the tech team to make decisions and unblock situations
- Work on Cycle’s product from conception to completion
- Work with users & team to understand desired application capabilities (e.g. information architecture, interactions, visual design, etc.)
- Take the ownership over architecture qualities of the applications (e.g.: usability, accessibility, performance, etc.) you build and deliver
- Have an ability to swiftly craft rough prototypes (proofs of concepts) to illustrate higher-level concepts, ideas & solution drafts
- Understand the trade-offs in employing different engineering solutions to a problem, valuing pragmatism over idealism
- Remain curious – always look out to learn from others and share knowledge

Product teams have many tools at their disposal, but it's very easy to become bogged down in a maze of tabs and applications. Unlike sales, design and most other fields, Product teams lack collaborative tools that allow them to easily work together. Cycle App offers a collaborative, customisable workflow app for product managers and teams.
The company isn't alone in this space, as well-known tools such as Asana and Jira can also be used for product management. However, Cycle is the only app designed specifically for product teams. This focus seems to have paid off, as can be seen from its glowing G2 reviews. Its pricing is also far more affordable than enterprise solutions with the same level of features, making it an attractive option for small-to-medium businesses and giving it an edge in the market.
Not only did the company publicly launch "Cycle 1.0" out of beta in early 2023 it also raised $6 million across two funding rounds. If it is able to expand its client base, it seems likely to be able to build a significant business in this space.
