What the job involves

  • The Houzz University SDR Program offers all-inclusive training designed to prepare you with the best-in-class sales techniques, strategies, and product knowledge to become a top-performing Sales Development Representative
  • This program combines personal coaching with certifications, along with first-hand experience pitching our products. Upon successful completion of the 12 month SDR Program, you will receive a well earned promotion to a SaaS Sales Representative!
  • The expected start date for this role will be January 8, 2024
  • Contact via phone and email the Houzz professional community as well as home professionals not yet on the Houzz Pro platform
  • Educate remodeling, design and service professionals on the Houzz Pro platform while building value around our Houzz local marketing opportunities
  • Qualify all sales leads based upon specific lead qualification criteria
  • Schedule calls between Houzz professionals and our SaaS Sales Representatives
  • Assist Houzz professionals with creating free professional profiles
  • Develop superior customer service relationship with generated leads and prospects

Our take

Redecorating a house can be costly, time-consuming and needlessly confusing. Houzz’s online decorating platform solves this problem by connecting homeowners, design enthusiasts, and decorating professionals.

Houzz was first launched as a side project, but has since grown to become a community of millions. Its connectivity and practicality have allowed Houzz to scale at an impressive rate, with its progress being considerably accelerated by the boom in home renovations projects taken on during the pandemic.

The company's strong profile allowed Houzz to become a major player in the home improvement space, and it expressed hopes to go public. Macroeconomic conditions, however, have put these plans on hold, with the company instead having to lay-off a number of employees late in 2022. Despite this, the company appears hopeful it can retain its market leadership and return to planning its IPO when conditions have improved.
