Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
- 4+ years of experience in a data analytics role, preferably within the gaming industry
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds
- Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of gaming industry trends and metrics
What the job involves
- As a Senior Data Analyst at 1047 Games, you will play a pivotal role in driving data based decisions across the organization and preparing us for launch
- Your primary responsibilities will revolve around answering stakeholder questions and creating intuitive dashboards in Looker
- This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your analytical skills to influence key business strategies within the gaming industry
- Interpret and Anticipate Stakeholder Requests: Collaborate with various departments including marketing, game development, and finance to understand their data needs and translate their request into actionable analytical tasks
- Create Interactive Dashboards: Design and develop user-friendly dashboards in Looker to visualize complex datasets, providing stakeholders with easy access to relevant insights
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: Conduct in-depth analysis of gaming metrics, player behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities for optimization and growth
- Collaborate with Data Engineering: Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure all events and telemetry are properly set up and maintained for long-term success, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the data
- Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems by extracting insights from data and providing actionable recommendations

1047 Games is an independent game developer and the creator of Splitgate. The team initially developed the game as a side project but due to its quick rise in popularity, they turned their focus entirely on Splitgate.
A free-to-play first-person shooter, Splitgate launched to players' screens in July of 2021 and within the first few weeks of its release, surpassed 10M downloads. The game has attracted a large player base and is a popular choice on Twitch, with many streamers playing and promoting the game to their audiences. Due to the success of the game, 1047 has secured partnerships with various eSport organizations with the game being featured in many eSport tournaments and events.
Development on the game has begun to slow down, but the developers have announced they are now turning their focus to a new game that will be set in the Splitgate universe. While there is little information on what this new game will involve, 1047 is in a strong position to continue to grow and make a name for itself in the gaming industry due to the success Splitgate has demonstrated.
