Who you are

  • Hunter mentality with a proven track record of creating, driving and introducing new business with mid and large market corporates
  • Commercial payments experience and knowledge with 3+ years’ experience in the payments or financial services sector
  • Strong understanding of B2B payment flows, business needs and the purchase to pay process in large organisations
  • Demonstrated success introducing & selling existing and emerging platform based B2B commercial payments solutions
  • A track record of executing against clear sales action plans including forecasting & pipeline management
  • Proven ability to build meaningful, trusting relationships with large and multinational customers
  • Strong collaborator - able to build trusted partnerships both internally and externally
  • Track record in consistently achieving business growth targets as sole contributor
  • Comfortable with roles that require discretion, integrity, and agility
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills to articulate solutions and value propositions to senior management stakeholders and customers
  • Ability to work collaboratively and deliver results in a highly cross-functional environment
  • High self-motivation and ability to work autonomously; “can do” attitude; strong customer and results orientation
  • Experience in a SaaS based business development role within payments preferred
  • Fluency in French & English with other languages highly preferable
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other post graduate degree an advantage

What the job involves

  • This role will develop and grow our commercial business in the large market B2B and Travel & Entertainment, supplier payments and embedded finance technology partnerships area
  • Grow spend volumes & increased revenues by identifying and pursuing direct opportunities with potential new corporate customers, active in the France market
  • Execute on leadership established and pre-defined sales strategy and through a segmented approach towards mid and large corporates, and partners
  • Responsible for establishing and developing a rigorous sales pipeline management & new business KPI’s
  • Works across the different segments, coordinating with local product and account management teams
  • Introduce commercial cards and non-cards solutions to the target prospects including expense management, virtual cards, business-to-business payments, working capital, supplier acceptance & onboarding and business intelligence
  • Supporting direct sales through core business development strategies including cold call and direct marketing
  • Prospect, contact, and support contracting with new customers through multiple other engagement channels including local meetings, events & conferences
  • Play a key role in conversations with key decision makers at new customers
  • Enhance ongoing business development relationships with the industry by attending & participating in webinars, and customer trainings in the commercial payments space
  • This is a sole contributor role
  • Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices
  • Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed
  • Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and
  • Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines
