Role

Who you are

  • We are seeking a passionate individual who loves hands-on work and is up for a challenge, having experience in various software, AGILE project management processes to streamline our cross-department digital dev programs
  • Attention to detail is critical
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 3+years experience in a Agile project management or coordination role
  • Experience in the construction or engineering sector, with industry project management experience (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and proficient in using Jira (or other ticket based project management software)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. (written and verbal)
  • Experience working with technical teams
  • Foundation level soft code skills preferred but not essential
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Miro and Atlassian cloud products

What the job involves

  • XYZ Reality is a construction tech start-up based in London and is currently looking for a talented full-time Project Manager to lead the planning, strategy, and delivery of our XYZ AR product development programs
  • This role will primarily cover our Cloud, Software and Mobile digital product engineering teams with a focus on the delivery of our new Augmented Reality and Analytics services
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the overview and project management of our agile software dev schedule plans
  • This role will work directly with our Software and Technical Project Managers and will be integrated within the Software Development teams to consolidate the details of each plan and track the progress through our PM system, Jira, utilising Agile planning methodologies
  • This role will involve good communication and organisation skills across a number of key departments
  • Specifically, this role will interact with the Software Engineering and Customer program management teams, bringing each aspect of our digital product road map together to ensure the successful delivery of our product roadmap
  • We pride our business on accuracy and precision, which is essential to this role to ensure each product dev program runs successfully, on time and in full
  • Careful risk assessment throughout each project will be an essential responsibility with careful mitigation and contingency to keep the schedules running smoothly
  • Remaining agile and flexible to allow our software programs to flex and adjust to the needs of the business and our customers
  • Reporting To: Guy Newsom
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Develop project plans and schedules in alignment with Agile principles
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or roadblocks
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Implement and promote Agile best practices within the project team
  • Work closely with the Scrum Master and development team to ensure successful sprint execution
  • Foster effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and leadership
  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals
  • Provide regular project status updates and reports
  • Serve as the primary administrator for Jira, ensuring its proper configuration and functionality
  • Create and manage project boards, workflows, and dashboards in Jira
  • Train team members on Jira usage and best practices
  • Identify and assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables
