What the job involves

  • Join DAZN as our new VP, Business Development to be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing growth opportunities for DAZN!
  • This role involves building and nurturing relationships with potential distributors / partners and driving revenue through new business initiatives
  • You'll be tasked with identifying new opportunities for DAZN in new markets across the globe
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive new market / business development strategy aligned with DAZN’s core goals and objectives
  • Identify and launch new market opportunities
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform strategic decision making
  • Identify and engage with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to generate new business
  • Lead negotiations and manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting to contract closure
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in new markets / verticals
  • Foster long-term partnerships that align with DAZN’s strategic goals
  • Represent DAZN at all levels with new business prospects
  • Work closely with rights acquisition, product development / technology teams to ensure alignment in strategy and execution
  • Provide feedback and insights to internal teams regarding market demands, customer behaviour, and competitive dynamics
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to refine and optimise the company’s core value proposition and market positioning
  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for business development activities
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on progress, challenges, and outcomes

DAZN is a sports streaming subscription service providing full coverage of every game in a league, with commentary from the home country it’s being shown in.

Referred to as the "Netflix of sport", DAZN has pursued an aggressive strategy of buying up popular, undervalued sports rights and launched quickly into new markets since launching in 2016. This has meant they were able to monopolise the television rights for combat sports like boxing and NFL. They now stream nearly 1 billion hours of live sport every year.

The company is also boosted by its sizeable B2B activities, which includes providing streaming and data to other sports broadcasters, betting firms and publishers. DAZN also owns Goal.com, a football website with 100 million users, and Opta, a well-known sports analytics company.
