Who you are

  • Enthusiasm for and experience with supporting the IT strategy of a fast-moving and fast-growing tech start-up
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux, MacOS and Windows incl. virtual machines and scripting
  • Strong networking knowledge (vLAN’s, VPN’s,WiFi etc.),
  • Experience in shaping and followingIT processes and procedures while writing clear documentation for the team
  • Practical experience using Azure, Entra ID, InTune, Exchange Online, Office 365
  • Strong experience in Linux and Juniperto administrator level
  • Knowledge of installing/configuring licensed products via LMTools on a Linux environment
  • Enthusiasm about IT environments used for advanced machine learning and engineering workflows; Professional experience related to infrastructure and deployment engineering, incl. exposure to some of the following:
  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art computer environments, storage resource orchestration, network topology, support and hands-on implementation
  • Experience in setting up and managing HPC systems used for compute intensive numerical simulation and/or
  • Machine learning systems
  • Preferably have experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Aware of technologies such as SASE, SD-WAN, Meraki
  • Ability to scope and effectively deliver projects; Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse issues, identify causes, and recommend solutions quickly

What the job involves

  • We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our small IT team. As a key member of the IT team, you will be supporting our growing business by contributing to the IT strategy and implementing high-endtechnical solutions
  • This role requires putting your practical skills into use by maintaining and optimising our IT infrastructure. Having strong skills in troubleshooting technical issues and an aptitude for implementing new technologies
  • Take an active role in determining IT solutions to support the business
  • Support the IT team in delivering our IT strategy and roadmap
  • Provide innovative solutions to maintain the highest standard for our technology stack
  • Provide active contributions to improve our high-end CPU and GPU HPC & cloud infrastructure including specification and configuration, installation, job scheduling, user access management, centralised data storage and back-up, as well as high-speed interconnectivity
  • Research and evaluate monitoring, backup, recovery and other solutions
  • Implement upgrades, patching etc
  • Help support and develop our SaaS platform, including integration into our existing IT landscape
  • Work closely with our team of data scientists, machine learning engineers and simulations engineers to support and accelerate both latest machine and deep learning workflows
  • Continuously learn and apply best practices and standards and support our colleagues in their adoption
