What the job involves

  • Reporting to the Chief Brand Officer, you will ultimately be responsible for managing and building all client businesses within your dedicated Group
  • Manage day to day activity, development and communication with all selected clients within your Group
  • Establish all clients brand positioning, target audience and develop their business strategies with specific objectives across all content, product and marketing
  • Create and implement an annual business plan for all clients including an outline of product development, app development, marketing and business development strategies
  • Lead the execution of the business strategy for all clients within your Group
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future business development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
  • Consistently seek opportunities to grow your clients’ business and increase sales. This includes but is not limited to commercial partnerships, marketing initiatives, retail opportunities and licensing
  • Gather customer and market insights to inform business strategies and increase customer conversions
  • Manage a team of Account Managers, ensuring your team are successfully managing and developing their selected clients’ businesses
  • Proactively liaise between all Genflow departments to ensure all aware of your clients business strategy, they are thoroughly briefed, meeting deadlines and delivering to the level expected for all clients within your Group
  • Proactively plan your own and your teams workload, focusing on improving the businesses at all times and prioritising for the benefit of the brands
  • Setting weekly & quarterly goals for each account manager
  • Ensure successful delivery of KPIs across sales, business performance and development for yourself and your team
  • Handle any client crisis management needed across your client Group including handling client comms, internal reporting and proactively ensuring the positive relationships are maintained with all clients
  • The MMM management processes, you will ensure regular product development for all clients within your Group, including but not limited to
  • New updates to your clients’ mobile apps every quarter including new features, guides and content
  • New physical product development and launches every quarter
  • Report on clients’ business performance on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Manage weekly calls with clients, reviewing business performance and ensuring you’re always working towards business goals and improvements
  • Ensure there are quarterly meetings to review and revise your clients business plan, ensuring the business is consistently improving, profitable and staying ahead of all relevant competition in the market
  • Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders regarding business performance, strategies, and budgets
  • Ensure all Account Managers adhere to the reporting process
  • Brief marketing, product, customer support and development departments, as to the business performance and relevant activity of Mega clients in order to improve the performance of all brands
  • Ensure all comms are managed by you and your team as agreed within the our internal structure
  • Emails: responded to within a maximum of 3 business hours on any given business day and in a timely manner outside of office hours
  • Slack & WhatsApp: responded to immediately within office hours and within a timely manner outside of office hours
  • Checking Business Account Managers have communicated with all their dedicated clients as agreed within the internal structure on a daily basis
  • Update all Mega client business trackers on a weekly basis and take relevant action needed to consistently improve the clients business
  • Ensure all Business Account Managers have updated all weekly trackers
  • Responsible for the overall success of all client launches within your Group
  • Ensure all client launch documents are complete within 5 days prior to your client launch
  • Be the brand point of contact for all Mega client launches and promotions, proactively managing the critical path, internal testing process, delivery of all assets a minimum of five business days before the planned go-live date and overall execution
  • Working in partnership with the Genflow Media team, develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet client business objectives across all marketing and content
  • Ensure all social media teams are briefed with clear guidelines regarding your client’s business goals, activity and tone of voice as required
  • Complete the Genflow content briefing forms to ensure promotional content request are sent by your team within 2 weeks of the client launch
  • Complete campaign briefing forms to ensure the Genflow Media team have all relevant client information in order to execute successful content and marketing campaigns on behalf of your clients
  • Ensure all brand activity is logged on a daily basis by yourself and your team including:
  • Documents are up to date and uploaded to DropBox and/or Google Drive
  • Internal Asana boards are updated. This includes attaching current status, relevant documents and deadline dates to each tab

Our take

The rise of social media has led to a shift in the way marketing budgets are spent, with channels such as Instagram increasingly becoming go-to platforms. With many influencers vying for enough of a following to make good money through product placement, Genflow is aiming to be the partner to help influencers build something that will last longer than a one-off paid-for post.

Whilst it is a relatively niche space to operate in, there is increasing competition to support influencers, as the budget being spent on influencers grows. With a strong client list and successful case studies, it looks as though Genflow know what they are doing; with big names such as Anthony Joshua and Jordyn Woods on their books, the company has already managed to create a lucrative business.

The influencer sphere does not appear to be dying down anytime soon, so Genflow is operating in a potentially highly lucrative space. Given its strong position, the company will continue to help shape this industry; funding has been used to evolve Genflow's existing brands and propel its global expansion plans, and the company looks well placed to grow on the market.
