Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, aerospace, chemical, electrical, or computer engineering), computer science, or similar degree, and 2 years of employment experience as a CAE Engineer, Applications Engineer, HPC Engineer, or Technical Support Engineer
- Must also possess: 2 years of experience in an engineering simulation discipline such as computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis, multibody dynamics, molecular dynamics, machine learning, or financial modeling
- 2 years of experience in providing technical support for an engineering simulation or high-performance computing product
- 1 year of experience in delivering technical training to customers
What the job involves
- Provide technical support for the entire range of features on the Rescale platform
- Apply deep knowledge of high-performance computing, simulation applications, networking, storage, scripting, and cloud computing to solve complex technical problems reported by customers
- Handle customer communications through email, helpdesk tickets, live online chat, and screenshare meetings
- Work with product and engineering teams to identify, report, test, and validate product bugs
- Perform benchmarking of state of the art software and hardware to determine best practice recommendations
- Write detailed technical documentation for internal and external use
