What the job involves
- Partner with the other members on the Executive Leadership Team to set company vision, goals, and strategy
- Ability to bridge the execution-focused, regulated, scale aspect of the business, and the user- focused, high velocity growth driver
- Being strategic and also utilizes player/coach mentality. This person will need to bring stability and execute across a set of priorities for different types of customers as well
- Draw upon professional standing and relationships to recruit engineering and product leaders and distinguished individual contributors. Ensure that Particle Health’s hiring continues to advance engineering and product quality and productivity, not just headcount
- Inspire, and coach the leaders within the Engineering and Product teams, including engineering and product VPs and Directors
- Ensure that the engineering team delivers secure, highly reliable/available, and high-performance software
- Set ambitious timelines for development and ship on time. Set, own, and successfully accomplish fast-paced, milestone-based engineering and product timelines
- Set goals, initiatives, vision, and roadmap for the Particle Health product development organization
- Set the vision and drive the technology roadmap and strategy for infrastructure, technical capabilities, platforms, and technical investments that support Particle Health’s growth
- Build strategies to ensure operational effectiveness of the team, including establishing overall direction, and anticipating needed future capabilities to support execution

Having access to our own healthcare information should be a given, the Anti-Information Blocking Rule allows providers to search for their patient’s records using basic personal information (Name/DOB/Address/etc.), but patients don’t have the same kind of access. Particle is shaping the new standard for U.S. patients wishing to access their own healthcare information with a user-friendly API platform.
Just as Plaid enabled the fintech industry, Particle is doing the same for healthcare. The company’s comprehensive API uniquely combines data from 270 million-plus patients’ medical records, unifying healthcare records from thousands of sources. Healthcare providers can manage the data, but the ultimate goal is to expand so patients can exercise their rights under HIPPA and access their own information.
New investments led by Canvas Ventures in 2022 are accelerating the growth of Particle’s analytics products, facilitating the launch of the company’s partner platform, and helping serve its growing customer base by scaling its customer service and engineering teams.
