Founding Software Engineer, FireCut

• As the first hire in a fast-growing company, you are adaptable and comfortable in supporting with tasks outside of strictly development work, e.g. speaking to customers to develop a roadmap / resolve reporting issues, helping to manage our payments portal, etc.
• You have 2+ years of coding experience (4+ years recommended)
• You have experience working with HTML, CSS, JS, Node.js, Python
• You have experience developing web applications, and understand how client-server communication works
• You are familiar with Adobe Premiere Pro (or at least similar video editing tools like DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or Adobe After Effects)

Desirable

• Developing new features — you will work closely with the Founder to develop new features in FireCut
• Fixing reported bugs — you will own the bug-fixing process end-to-end, which will involve reading customer feedback, recreating bugs and finding the root cause, fixing bugs in the code, and publishing new versions of FireCut
• User communication — you will support the Founder in responding to user feedback and requests
