  • 4+ years of Product management experience in a B2B lending product in a technology-driven environment
  • Direct experience of product discovery or management experience in working capital products in Spain
  • Experience in driving cross-functional teams to deliver business goals through technology
  • Experience identifying, sourcing, curating, researching and validating business opportunities
  • Strong customer/stakeholder interview skills to identify customer needs and pains
  • Experience of product owner-type responsibility in product development environment, including the translation of complex business needs into work packages that can be scoped by engineering
  • Experience of modeling business and operational processes
  • Experience with product roadmapping and prioritization
  • Data-driven decision making

What the job involves

  • As a Product Manager, you will play a key role in delivering real, measurable business value through our products, to both our demanding client base and Novicap
  • You will join us as a Product Manager. Working with the Head of Product, Technology Team and the wider business, you will turn customer and business needs into product development or product improvements
  • You will contribute to the product strategy needed to meet our business goals , own the roadmap for one or more products, and manage the development of products, features and maintenance
  • We expect you to be the subject matter expert for the products you own, and will drive the delivery of the next generation of products for Novicap
  • More importantly, you will make decisions based on analysis, stakeholder feedback, and overall business goals
  • In doing so, you will ensure alignment between Product, Tech, and other teams with respect to product vision and project implementation
  • You will collaborate with teams across the entire organization to contribute to our growth plans
  • Managing the improvement of the existing proposition to make it more relevant to our existing and target customers, more profitable and easier to operate
  • Owning product discovery and new product development to satisfy the unmet needs of potential clients, including short-term lending and enhancing our collateral capabilities
  • Working with Sales to showcase the benefits of our product through demonstrations, simulations and proposals
  • Scaling operational processes to allow us to support an expanded client portfolio
  • Working with Risk and Legal to minimize and/or manage credit risk when operating our products
  • You will report directly to the Head of Product and will be working closely with another Product Manager, the Tech team and the rest Novicapers across Madrid and Barcelona

Our take

SMEs often face delays when receiving invoice payments from large clients, resulting in cash-flow problems and logistical difficulties. NoviCap was created to provide a platform where SMEs can generate quick financing in order to mitigate this previously unavoidable problem.

NoviCap differs in that it offers a lateral solution to traditional banking options, which can often take weeks to confirm funding. Its automation, flexibility, and fully accessible online platform also means that SMEs can hold increased ownership of their financing, unlike with traditional banks.

Having experienced growth in 2023 thanks to 200 million euros in lending capital, the company is expanding its platform to accommodate all sizes of enterprises, not just SMEs. Competitors include UK-based MarketInvoice, and in the future NoviCap looks to maintain its status by continuing to focus on developing other services that set the company apart from the banking circuit.
