Role

Who you are

  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, account management, and team leadership, with a deep understanding of global market dynamics
  • 10+ years of experience in Global Accounts’ management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience on managing a team of Account Managers with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of managing and growing strategic/global accounts
  • Strong understanding of global markets and international business practices
  • Experience in business travel or corporate housing would be an advantage but not a prerequisite

What the job involves

  • We are currently looking for our Head of Global Strategic Accounts
  • This senior leadership role is pivotal in driving the growth of our B2B revenue through developing and executing account acquisition and account development strategies
  • Develop and execute a strategy to scale revenue of Pan-US and Global Accounts
  • Lead and mentor our dynamic team of US Account Managers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
  • Proactively identify and seek out new accounts to optimize revenue
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts
  • Develop and implement account plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives
  • Collaborate with sales, operations and client experience teams to create value-added solutions for clients
  • Manage pipeline, revenue forecasts, sales activity using Salesforce for maximum efficiency and visibility

Blueground supplies apartments for medium to long-term stays, that it backs with on-the-ground support so clients can have peace of mind that any issues will be handled quickly and well. It operates thousands of properties in 20+ cities including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, Washington D.C., Seattle, Dubai, Istanbul, Paris, London, and Athens.

Taking clear inspiration from Airbnb, Blueground caters to the increasing demand for all medium and long-stay rentals - both from holidayers seeking more unique stays, and the growing nomadic workforce. Its focus on the renter experience - with additional services, such as regular housekeeping or maintenance, available through its app - are what makes the company stand out in the space.

Blueground has stated aims to have a presence in 50 cities around the world and a portfolio of more than 50,000 apartments by 2025, an ambitious goal that will rely heavily on its ability to scale its operationally-intensive business (due to the local support teams required). The recent acquisition of corporate housing specialist Travelers Haven will enable it to expand its US footprint, as it invests its latest funds into growth.
