Role
Who you are
- If you're passionate about developing end-to-end solutions and driving technological advancements, we want you on our team
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years as a Backend/Frontend/Full Stack Developer
- Experience working with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular (Must), React, Vue.js or similar
- Experience with Node.js
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and value end-to-end ownership of projects
Desirable
- Experience with Google’s Firebase
- Experience with Flutter/Ionic/React Native
What the job involves
- We seek a dynamic and experienced Full Stack Developer to join our US team in Teaneck, NJ
- This on-site role is an integral part of our innovative R&D department, where you'll have the opportunity to shape the foundational architecture of our cutting-edge systems
- Create and own end-to-end features for the company’s various web projects
- Maintain and improve code quality and stability
- Lead cross-team technical design discussions on the application architecture, UI components, UX, back-end and third-party integration, and testing
- Lead and accompany new products and features, prototype to production
- Collaborate with team members to define future technologies
- Work cross-functionally with Israel R&D team members with open communication
- Work closely with customers to gather insights on how to improve the product
Our take
UVeye has developed contact-free vehicle inspection systems that leverage AI, ML, and computer vision to swiftly detect faults and abnormalities in vehicles. It’s a broadening out of UVeye’s original remit, which was inspection devices for military and police organizations - although sensitive security facilities like embassies and power plants still make up a critical part of UVeye’s business.
This pivot provided a real shot in the arm for UVeye, especially for its US expansion where it struck gold in the automotive sector. Healthy funding has now come from major players like Toyota Tsusho, Hyundai Motors and Volvo, and the latter has committed to a long-term contract to install the tech in all its North American dealerships.
UVeye is astutely doubling down on its penetration into the $100B+ US automotive industry through flirting with expansions into the insurance sector - it’s partnered, for example, with W.R. Berkley. Insurance tech in this region is throwing itself into data-led digital transformation, and a system that allows UVeye to explore this kind of partnership alongside lucrative manufacturing and defense contracts makes for a very promising position indeed.
