Who you are

  • Extensive experience working for, or with Global/regional Systems Integrators, Managed Services Providers, Professional Services companies, Management Consulting firms or ISV partners is a must
  • Entrepreneurial “builder” mentality
  • 10+ years of technology related (partner-) sales experience
  • Experience working with Consulting Companies and/or technology vendors
  • Experience developing detailed annual GTM plans
  • Successful track record to achieving and exceeding quota and key performance metrics
  • Proven ability to deliver results amid ambiguity and change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Dutch and/or French language skills is a plus

What the job involves

  • As Senior Partner Sales Manager in Benelux, you will deliver on our strategy to work with partners to accelerate adoption of Amazon’s infrastructure web services
  • The ideal candidate has the ability to build effective, multi-level relationships (including C-level) with partners and customers, creating a preference for AWS
  • You will collaborate with partners to serve and create value for customers within the Enterprise segment
  • You will lead interactions with partners to create net new pipeline and accelerate joint customer opportunities, leveraging the benefits of the AWS Partner Program
  • As Senior Partner Sales Manager, you enjoy teamwork and building bridges
  • You are part of the AWS Sales team and you will collaborate closely with AWS Sales, partner development teams, Large Migration & Modernization team, marketing and solution architects
  • You will own and execute the partner go-to-market strategy for customers in your territory
  • Build the partner strategy for the Benelux Enterprise and ISV target markets in line with the AWS strategic direction
  • Define partner eco-system and relevant partner solutions to address key customer use cases, which accelerate innovation and cloud adoption for our customers
  • Coordinate and drive execution of the business plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales, service teams, legal, support, etc.)
  • Manage and drive joint engagements between consulting partners, technology partners, Account Management and Partner Development team
  • Work with AWS account teams in a highly collaborative operating model to develop pipeline
  • Collaborate with partner bid desk team to support partners on solution support & pricing constructs
  • Liaise with the Partner’s field sales organization, channels and end customers to help create and drive revenue opportunities for AWS
  • Ensure that AWS is the partner’s preferred cloud computing platform across all product lines
  • Prepare and lead business reviews to the senior management team
  • Provide support during contract negotiations and serve as a liaison to the legal group

More recently, Amazon has been focused on leading the "third wave in digital advertising". Many businesses are now shifting ad dollars to retailers, which before would have been spent with online media platforms. Amazon's seen great success in the space, with its revenue from advertising now higher than its Amazon Prime membership scheme, audiobooks and digital music combined. This growth is particularly impressive considering its digital ad rivals (like Snap, Alphabet, and Meta) have suffered declines due to wider macroeconomic factors and Apple's iOS privacy changes.

Despite its dominant market position, Amazon will continue to be challenged over the next decade, including sustaining AWS's cloud dominance in the face of Google and Microsoft. On top of this, the company's e-commerce division is facing profitability problems despite its 2023 post-IPO debt funding of 8 billion. It will need to find new ways to stay above their competitors.
