Florence improves the ease and efficiency with which social care businesses can source and coordinate a flexible workforce and the control and accessibility with which nurses and carers can connect to work. Florence has a strong mix of experience in the founding team, with direct healthcare experience and finance knowledge. Adult social care is a £42bn market in the UK and the big companies involved are nearly all legacy providers, leaving significant scope for disruption.

There's a global staff shortage of healthcare workers and staff management is very outdated compared with other industries. Florence is tackling this precise issue head-on by directly connecting healthcare workers with open shifts by cutting out the middleman.
