Who you are
- You have been operating continuously in a similar managerial position in a relevant software company with evidence of delivering impactful product outcomes
- You are a people manager who builds an effective work culture that improves the working lives of your team
- You have experience managing larger teams where it’s necessary to build processes and systems of delegation to get work done
- You act as a problem finder and solver technically and organisationally, helping the team to overcome any issue that prevents your engineering fellows to perform at their best
- You run effective performance reviews that celebrate achievements and help your team identify where to grow next in line with their aspirations and the needs of the business
- Pragmatism and obsession for simplicity, efficiency, and performance

What the job involves
- This opportunity offers a thrilling chance to lead and evolve a significant product development team of a cutting-edge SaaS unicorn
- Product development in backend with Python/Django, and frontend with React of a travel-related web-based product
- Integrations between our product to 3rd party APIs
- System architecture design, implementation, and testing
- Work in an Agile environment with strong attention to well-documented code, unit testing, and continuous integration
- Being able to mentor, coach, and train other colleagues as a domain expert
Our take
In an industry dominated by traditional recruiting agencies, Workfully looks to stand out by supplying a decentralized recruitment and upskilling marketplace. The idea is to enable recruiters to act as their own agency, tailoring the recruitment process so that they can attract, hire, train and coach the talent they specifically need.
Workfully provides two products, "Hiring" and "HireSkilling". The Hiring service depends upon the company's network of Talent Partners, and can be deployed in-house or externally, or clients can opt for the "Executive" version designed to help bolster their C-suite. HireSkilling, meanwhile, allows users to seamlessly hire and upskill talent in one program, essentially creating the talent they need and may have been struggling to source.
Having secured a promising seed round in 2023, Workfully is looking to both expand its team and grow its product offering. With the recruiting service industry worth around $700 billion, and ripe for innovation, there is certainly an opportunity for the company to find success.
