Who you are

- You have experience implementing and maintaining cloud-based IT systems and services in a corporate environment like Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, etc
- You have MDM/endpoint configuration management experience with tools such as Kandji or Intune as well as hands-on expertise supporting Mac, Windows, and Linux devices
- You are familiar with developing automation workflows and integrations for repetitive or manual tasks through scripting and iPaaS platforms like Workato, Tray.io, Make.com…
- You are passionate about scripting manual tasks with languages like Bash, Powershell, Python, or Go
- You like to track your code in Git and have experience working with CI/CD tools
Desirable
- Knowledge of configuration management tools like Terraform, Puppet, Ansible or Chef
- Experience managing office infrastructure like Networking and on-prem servers, Audio-visual systems, CCTV, and Access Management systems
What the job involves
- We are looking for an IT Engineer who will join a team of two people to help scale our IT and business operations
- As part of the engineering organization, we are currently focused on building our IT foundation to scale our business while improving our employee experience and keeping our company and customers safe and compliant
- We expect IT engineers to research, find, and propose solutions that solve the problems, not just crunch tickets
- Perform and improve IT operations and user support, including access management, device management, onboarding and offboarding processes, etc
- Own and automate business systems with the likes of Okta, Kandji, Intune, GWorkspace, Slack, Jira, Github through the use of their APIs and iPaaS tools like Workato
- Develop and maintain documentation for supported applications, processes, and training material for internal employees and IT staff
- Work with Security, PeopleOps, and different business teams to develop and improve critical business processes with an automation mindset
- Support and manage Corporate Systems and Infrastructure
- Collaborate with different stakeholders to coordinate the implementation and audit of IT policies
Our take
Commercial DNA sequencing and advances in biometrics have led to an explosion in biological data, which is likely to prove critical in tackling the major problems facing the life sciences. The problem is, the data is so vast in quantity and diverse in type that analysing it and managing it can prove prohibitively expensive. This is where data orchestration and workflow platform Seqera Labs comes into its own.
Seqera is focused predominantly on facilitating big data analysis and management in the life sciences, and it has gotten impressive traction. Its Nextflow product, a distributed data analysis solution, has been used by over 10,000 organizations, including teams working on COVID sequencing and cancers.
The program can be used by precisely the people who understand the data without the need for external teams, and it has rapidly led to Nextflow becoming a widely-used industry standard. This means Seqera has been enthusiastically welcomed to take pole position and funded generously, all within a sector where urgent big-data projects are set only to proliferate. So it looks likely that Seqera will have a pivotal role in key life-sciences developments going forward.
