Who you are

  • The successful candidate will be a strong coder and excellent problem solver who prefers learning by doing
  • Interest in web application development and an eagerness to learn new skills
  • Fluency with one or more mainstream strongly-typed, compiled programming languages such as Go, Java, C#, or C++
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with a version control system like GitHub including code review processes
  • Collaborate with peers across the entire range of development activities that includes distilling engineering designs from product requirements, development of work plans, building consensus, implementation, testing, productization, monitoring, and maintenance
  • B.S. or equivalent in Computer Science, Math, or similarly technical field or equivalent industry experience

What the job involves

  • As a Backend Engineer at VideoAmp, you’ll be building the APIs that empower our clients to plan and measure their advertising campaigns on our developer platform in a user-friendly and scalable way.
  • Your work will directly impact how major brands and publishers value, transact, and measure television and digital advertising
  • You will work with our Data Science, Measurement, and Engineering Services teams to ensure that our methodologies are rigorous and best-in-class, our data pipelines are correct and reliable, and our APIs are responsive and highly available.
