• 5 Years experience in Data Engineering, including working with big Data
• At least 2 years experience leading data engineering teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or comparable
• Data Engineering expertise with two of the following: Python, Rust, PHP
• Solid SQL and Data Analytics knowledge
• Experience with any of: Kafka, Redis, Solr/Elasticsearch, Postgres
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases
• Attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
• Experience managing, monitoring and troubleshooting production grade data pipelines
• Knowledge of data governance practices, data quality management, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and data security measures
• Ability to present data insights and recommendations clearly and effectively
• Ability to manage and resolve conflicts within the team or with external stakeholders effectively
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects
