Who you are

  • Familiarity with developing the strategy and leading the development of eCommerce platforms as a Product Manager (or equivalent)
  • Experience with third-party eCommerce providers such as Amazon, Shopify, Magento, and payment solution providers such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Stripe, Klarna, Paypal, …
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and coordinate cross-functional teams, driving successful project outcomes
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a track record of handling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of gathering and interpreting data, generating insights, and making data-driven decisions
  • Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing shifting priorities and balancing competing demands

What the job involves

  • As the eCommerce Solution Senior Product Manager, you will lead the development of a scalable eCommerce platform that will support Flo in selling a variety of female health products (boxes, health tests, supplements, wearables) through both web and mobile applications to complement Flo’s current offering
  • You’ll be responsible for shaping the product development strategy from its inception through to the long-term product vision, defining the minimum viable product and continuously evolving the platform to meet future business needs
  • Collaborating closely with a dedicated team of frontend and backend developers, you will ensure the platform is optimised for seamless growth and user experience
  • Additionally, you will work closely with Flo’s third-party partners—such as payment processors, logistics providers, and reporting platforms—to ensure smooth integration and maximise operational efficiency
  • This is a strategic leadership role that offers the opportunity to influence the future direction of eCommerce at Flo and drive a substantial impact on the company’s growth
  • Lead the design, development, and launch of Flo’s first eCommerce platform, enabling the sale of physical products through both the mobile and web app. Define a long-term vision for future iterations and enhancements of the solution
  • Identify, evaluate, and integrate third-party eCommerce solutions (e.g., eCommerce platforms, payment gateways, logistics, analytics) to build a best-in-class, scalable platform that supports growth and user experience
  • Analyse the technologies, APIs, and systems used by Flo’s commercial partners to develop optimal integration strategies that ensure seamless collaboration and smooth functionality
  • Translate business objectives into detailed technical requirements for engineers, while establishing and refining the product development process to ensure efficiency and quality delivery
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including commercial, product, legal, privacy, and medical departments—to gather insights and ensure the eCommerce platform aligns with broader company goals and adheres to industry standards
  • Ensure the eCommerce platform meets the highest levels of security, privacy, and compliance standards, working with legal and privacy teams to address any regulatory considerations
  • Continuously monitor and analyse platform performance, using data and user feedback to iterate on features and improve customer experience
  • Stay informed on eCommerce trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and integrate relevant innovations into Flo’s platform roadmap

Flo is an AI powered period tracking app that allows users to access health insights relating to their cycle by inputting experienced symptoms and cycle dates. AI is leveraged to improve the personalised predictions of upcoming symptoms or periods, allowing the platform to help predict irregular periods or highlight fertile periods in your cycle. They state that the app can also flag when symptoms might need medical attention.

What sets Flo apart from its competitors (Clue, Ovia, Glow) is its ability to change from a period tracker to a fertility tracker, and that it can even offer valuable insights postpartum. The app is the number 1 period tracker in the US by active audience and the most downloaded female health app worldwide, with over 50 million monthly users. In the wake of the 2022 Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, Flo has responded to its users' concerns by implementing an anonymous mode to prevent personal details being tied to fertility data.

Historically, it has proved difficult for companies to get funding for products aimed at women. Flo have managed to largely overcome this and secure significant investment in recent funding rounds. This will allow the company to focus on implementing proactive care solutions in the app amongst other developments to evolve the service offered.
