Who you are

  • Has a STEM background (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar).
  • Has around five years of experience in a growth-focused role—whether in product, marketing, or business development
  • Lives and breathes growth—constantly testing new strategies to scale sales, engage users, and optimise conversion
  • Is obsessed with selling products in creative ways, and has a strong interest in online marketing
  • Thrives in high-intensity environments, working directly with the CEO and leadership team to crack the US market
  • Has Grade A execution skills—able to take an idea from concept to results, without excuses
  • You are an exceptionally talented business mind, executor, and hustler—but at its core, you are a growth nerd
  • You are always up to date on the latest growth tactics, trends, and tools, and eager to test and learn
  • You are equally at home designing wild growth experiments as you are deep in the numbers looking for actionable signal
  • You are full-stack growth—you understand owned, earned, performance, and direct-to-consumer strategies
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments, surrounded by ambitious people, and take full ownership of the numbers

What the job involves

  • Grow Nothing’s direct-to-consumer business in the US, focusing on our official online store
  • Experiment relentlessly—test new marketing channels, optimise the funnel, and find creative ways to increase conversion
  • Use data to drive decisions—analyse customer behaviour, revenue trends, and sales performance to identify opportunities
  • Be full-stack growth—owned, earned, performance, and DTC marketing, using a mix of organic and paid tactics
  • Collaborate across teams—work with product, marketing, and operations to ensure seamless execution of growth strategies
  • Execute fast and iterate—small tests, fast learnings, big wins
  • A front-row seat to scaling a consumer brand in the US—from the ground up
  • Ownership of high-impact growth initiatives, directly driving revenue
  • Real-world, high-speed learning—more than an MBA, more than any growth course
  • A move to the US after 18 months in London, where you will lead Nothing’s growth execution in the market

Our take

Nothing wants to inspire people to believe in the positive potential of technology again. It aims to do this through its consumer technology platform, seeking to bring artistry, passion and trust back into the sector.

The company was co-founded by Carl Pei, who previously co-founded OnePlus, a mobile tech company that operates in more than 30 countries worldwide. Since its 2021 Series A with the backing of Alphabets' VC arm, Nothing has launched a series of products including the Nothing Phone (1), a mid-range but aesthetically exciting android-powered device, along with earphones and, interestingly, a craft beer.

Nothing has successfully delivered a flagship product that has held its own in a fiercely competitive market populated with the likes of Apple, Samsung, and Google, along with mid-range rivals Honor and OnePlus. The company launched a follow-up device called Nothing Ear in 2024, a wireless headphone with Chat GPT integrations. If this is as well received as its predecessor then Nothing could grow into a household name.
