Who you are

  • Ideally 5+ years’ brand commercial partnerships experience
  • Proven track record leading on and generating commercial opportunities and revenue streams
  • Proven ability to effectively play both leading and supporting roles throughout critical projects
  • Must be highly organized and have great attention to detail
  • Solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work on cross-functional teams
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external partners at all levels
  • Hard working with a “all hands on deck” mentality with a positive attitude
  • Balance efficiency and creative thinking
  • Track record of success in campaign execution, partnerships, and project management while continuously improving processes
  • Experience in the startup / parenting space would be a bonus!

What the job involves

  • Frolo Directory:
  • Lead on acquiring relevant paying partners and launching Frolo Directory (marketplace) including:
  • Develop a curated list of commercially savvy Frolo Partnerships so that frolos can benefit from discounted offers and services
  • Develop a list of Frolo Event/ Meetup/ Holiday partners around the UK and Ireland to help drive revenue and encourage Frolos to use the Meetups section of the app
  • Manage all inbound partnership requests and show initiative in creating new and exciting partnership opportunities
  • Media Sponsorship:
  • Outreach and secure media sponsors to generate monthly income streams from sponsorship across our channels - app, social, emails
  • Drive up revenues from top-spending media agencies
  • Frolo Dating:
  • Identifying the best revenue and retention driving opportunities via monetisation
  • Other:
  • Explore and identify other revenue making opportunities such as market research etc
  • Maintain a consistent pulse on parent and single parent culture while understanding what is new, now, and next and how they can leverage these insights and partners to elevate their brand positioning
  • Deliver high quality presentations and lead pitch meetings
  • Maintain an understanding of brand health and relevance and develop actionable plans to substantiate positioning
  • Collaborate internally to strategically align with various initiatives
  • Work closely with Communications, Social, and Marketing to support initiatives with partners and influencers

There are around 3 million single parent families in the UK and Ireland, a number which reflects a modest upward trend in single parenthood over recent years. This constitutes a substantial and promising market, with many people in it reporting a need for community, support, and dating services that for a long period went unaddressed. Frolo is a modern community and dating app designed to fix precisely that.

Frolo offers a friendship and dating matchmaking service, private messaging, a community newsfeed, and a meetups feature, with more features reportedly in the pipeline. Whilst having launched in just 2021, Frolo has a growing user base of 33,000 members across the UK and Ireland, and has its sights set on US expansion.

It’s perhaps surprising that, with the number of demographically-specific dating apps cropping up, no leading player has yet emerged for this group. SingleParentsMeet has seen some success in the US, but it’s specifically a dating service - so it may be that Frolo’s broader community offering will lend Frolo the upper hand upon entering the US market. Certainly there are no major contenders on Frolo’s home turf, and the company’s viral success and rapid growth looks set to lay a strong foundation for expansion efforts.
