Who you are

  • One or more shipped gaming titles, especially in VR
  • 5 years of work experience
  • Strong, Unity engine experience
  • Advanced C# programming skills
  • Experience developing on network game architectures

Desirable

  • Experience with graphics APIs and shader languages
  • Understand game design and theory
  • SpatialOS or Unity ECS development experience
  • Online game and/or MMO development experience, including client/server development of game features
  • Technical Art pipeline experience, importing, optimizing, working with environment and character artists
  • Experience in game physics, game AI, game security, or netcode

What the job involves

  • Architect, prototype, and build networked gameplay loops and systems on client and server
  • Optimize client side performance to hit mobile performance budgets
  • Implement VFX, SFX, lighting, environment and character art assets and animations
  • Develop and script AI and enemy monster behavior, and encounters
  • User Interface programming and design

It became the best selling game on Steam, Oculus Rift, and Oculus Quest, and was the first cross-platform VR MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing games) available on all major gaming systems.

With the runaway success of Zenith and the steady release of updates (including an AI-powered voice moderator for Zenith's chatrooms, that weeds out racist and homophobic behavior), the company has since secured major investment. It intends to use this to expand its relatively small studio and continue attempting to realize its vision of creating an infinite gaming universe.

Was Lead Engineer at Unity Technologies, working on In-App purchasing SDK and Game Foundations projects after working as a Software Engineer at Google, leading engineering on Google Wallet for iOS and Android Wear for iOS. Co-founded and was CTO of iOS Contracting and Consulting Company Nimbly Inc.
