CEO of Otta
imin, a tech-for-good startup, is at the forefront of transforming access to sports, fitness, and wellness on a global scale through the use of open data. The company specialises in developing APIs that empower sports, health, and wellness organisations to seamlessly integrate searchable and bookable physical activities directly into various applications, websites, and digital services.
In 2015, imin launched OpenActive, a campaign for open physical activity opportunity data in the sector. OpenActive is now coordinated by the Open Data Institute and supported by Sport England and comprises 83 public and private organisations from across the UK and Europe, all of which believe in a sector-wide collaboration for the creation of open standards for data sharing.
Despite its relatively small team, imin has achieved remarkable growth and impact through collaborative efforts with both private and public organisations. Over the last five years, its dedication to expanding its network and products has resulted in a notable presence in the sports, health, and wellness domains, showcasing the power of technology-driven solutions in fostering widespread engagement and collaborations.
