Role

Who you are

  • Ideally up to 5 years relevant content marketing experience with demonstrated track record in driving results via social media
  • Experience of using data insights and testing to drive growth and engagement within social channels
  • Blog and content management experience
  • Email marketing experience
  • Confident and talented with design and content creation
  • A problem solver, out of the box thinker and ‘can-do’ attitude
  • A love of fast-paced environments and taking responsibility from day one
  • Proven track record of data driven reporting
  • Able to juggle the day to day but see the bigger picture
  • Previous startup experience is a plus
  • Tools experience is a plus (Hubspot, Mailchimp, Social scheduling tools, Adobe/Canva, etc)

What the job involves

  • Digital marketing strategy and implementation: ensuring that we have all bases covered across social media channels, blog, email marketing including newsletter, retention marketing to our app users
  • Creating and scheduling posts for the Instagram grid for Community and Dating channels (@frolo_app and @frolo_datingapp) as well as other social media channels to drive a mix of purposeful, valuable, informative, relatable engagement driving and acquisition driving content
  • Replying to direct messages and comments on all social media channels, and driving and highlighting support queries to our support team
  • Sourcing guests for and hosting a weekly or at least twice monthly takeover of Instagram Community stories
  • Building and growing our tik tok channel
  • Newsletter - Writing the fortnightly Frolo newsletter and monthly Dating newsletter using CRM (Hubspot). AB testing best performing titles, images & optimising towards highest opening rates and CTRs
  • PR - You will lead on PR reach out. You will be confident in writing press releases and keeping a list of press contacts up to date and informed and building relationships with the media
  • Coming up with new ideas on expansion into new channels like TikTok & Quora
  • Testimonials: Sourcing great video and and app testimonials from users that we can use in our marketing efforts
  • Expert meetups - you will help ensure that we have at least one (engagement driving) expert meetup organised for a virtual Community meetup each week
  • Creating ad hoc mailings to promote specific events, promos or updates e.g. international launches
  • Influencer management, relationship building and engagement
  • You will promote expert meetups across our channels and repurpose into informative video content, carousels etc
  • Meeting any copy requirements for other aspects of the business eg. media quotes, articles, presentations, sponsor pack, email content etc
  • Frolo blog and SEO : Creating, posting and sharing regular content on the Frolo blog to provide resources for existing community members and bring new users to the website through search
  • Reporting: You will provide a daily update on and a more in depth weekly report on performance and growth across all areas of ownership with learnings and plan for the week ahead outlined
  • Liaising and communicating with relevant team members to ensure that there all content, experts and brand content is utilised across all channels

Our take

There are around 3 million single parent families in the UK and Ireland, a number which reflects a modest upward trend in single parenthood over recent years. This constitutes a substantial and promising market, with many people in it reporting a need for community, support, and dating services that for a long period went unaddressed. Frolo is a modern community and dating app designed to fix precisely that.

Frolo offers a friendship and dating matchmaking service, private messaging, a community newsfeed, and a meetups feature, with more features reportedly in the pipeline. Whilst having launched in just 2021, Frolo has a growing user base of 33,000 members across the UK and Ireland, and has its sights set on US expansion.

It’s perhaps surprising that, with the number of demographically-specific dating apps cropping up, no leading player has yet emerged for this group. SingleParentsMeet has seen some success in the US, but it’s specifically a dating service - so it may be that Frolo’s broader community offering will lend Frolo the upper hand upon entering the US market. Certainly there are no major contenders on Frolo’s home turf, and the company’s viral success and rapid growth looks set to lay a strong foundation for expansion efforts.
