Who you are

  • Solid GTM, Sales, or Consulting experience driving partnerships and developing joint go-to-market strategies with AI/ML model providers
  • Technology domain expertise in LLM, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and GenAI related fields
  • Hands-on understanding of open source software, deep learning, and other ML algorithms with hands-on experience running pilots and POCs to demonstrate capabilities to prospects
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

Desirable

  • Startup background and experience at a VC or PE-backed firm in a Product, BD, or Sales Executive capacity
  • Established track record of building rapport with Startup executives and closing strategic deals
  • Familiarity with open-source software used by Startups and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
  • Strong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with Startup executives and developers
  • Recognized industry expertise in primary discipline(s) with proven public speaking prowess
  • Cloud expertise as demonstrated by one or more cloud certifications and Advanced degree highly preferred, especially an MBA or MS in CS or Engineering

  • Interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as with developers and technical architects, to ease adoption, develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships
  • Develop and deploy programs that leverage AWS Field teams, as well as technology and consulting partner channels
  • Collaborate with AWS Product and Technical teams to create solutions that solve customer problems, including reference architectures, patterns, automation, and release plan
  • Work with Marketing to develop and align digital marketing campaigns to drive awareness and demand
  • Own the GTM strategy and execution for Amazon Q, collaborating with teams in the field including Sales, Partners, Marketing, and other Specialists
  • This position specifically is part of the WWSO Start-up team, where you will be a Technical Business Developer that helps start-ups adopt AWS’ technologies with a focus on Amazon Q, among others
  • You will 1/Be the best storytellers and technologists 2/Work with the most promising start-ups, 3/Scale tech knowledge via products, programs, and the AWS Field, and 4/Gather critical start-up feedback to inform our product roadmaps

More recently, Amazon has been focused on leading the "third wave in digital advertising". Many businesses are now shifting ad dollars to retailers, which before would have been spent with online media platforms. Amazon's seen great success in the space, with its revenue from advertising now higher than its Amazon Prime membership scheme, audiobooks and digital music combined. This growth is particularly impressive considering its digital ad rivals (like Snap, Alphabet, and Meta) have suffered declines due to wider macroeconomic factors and Apple's iOS privacy changes.

Despite its dominant market position, Amazon will continue to be challenged over the next decade, including sustaining AWS's cloud dominance in the face of Google and Microsoft. On top of this, the company's e-commerce division is facing profitability problems despite its 2023 post-IPO debt funding of 8 billion. It will need to find new ways to stay above their competitors.
