  • Have worked in a Solutions Consulting or Sales Engineering role for an Enterprise SaaS company
  • Have partnered with Account Executives to scope successful engagements with Fortune 500 companies

  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills; can engage deeply with both technical and executive audiences
  • Get energy from working across multiple projects concurrently and wearing many hats

What the job involves

  • Partner closely with 4-5 Enterprise Account Executives to analyze and understand customers’ businesses, climate ambitions and software needs
  • Become a trusted advisor to our prospective customers—educating them about corporate climate commitments, carbon accounting, regulation/policy and the Watershed offering
  • Build and share subject matter expertise on how the world’s largest companies can run successful climate programs
  • Demonstrate Watershed’s unique value to prospective customers, through product demonstrations, ROI analysis and customer stories
  • Scope complex customer engagements as Watershed expands to new industries
  • Interface with Customer Success and Climate Advisory teams to ensure smooth handovers from pre- to post-contract
  • Collaborate with Watershed’s Engineering, Product and Marketing teams to continuously improve Watershed’s products and positioning

Our take

The climate timer is running down, and emission-reduction deadlines are set to pass without targets met. Companies, even when committed to reducing carbon footprints, can struggle to find effective strategies, or to even measure their true environmental impact. Watershed supplies an all-in-one solution for climate-conscious enterprises, which measures carbon output effectively, and turns numbers into action.

Watershed was founded in 2019 to respond to a lack of sophisticated technologies for companies to assess their climate impact. Brands already have complex toolboxes for other departments, such as finance, but emissions teams can find it difficult to supply reports with any confidence due to long wait-times for data, and inaccuracies from estimates. Watershed’s carbon data engine analyses emissions for every line item of a business, and battles estimates by deploying state-of-the-art methodologies for remote work, cloud computing, and a host of other classically difficult-to-measure aspects.

Watershed has ambitions to become the go-to corporate decarbonization platform, and big brands like Airbnb, DoorDash, Twitter and Shopify are already using it to help them in their commitment to reducing emissions. The substantial funding raised by the company will be used to accelerate hiring, and to improve the set of tools it provides for businesses to run effective climate programs.
