What the job involves

  • We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with domain expertise in the Azure stack to lead the design and implementation of our data architecture
  • As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for architecting and optimizing a data platform that supports our clinical trial operations and integrates seamlessly with AWS, Google BigQuery, and big data tools
  • This role requires a deep understanding of Azure data services, DevOps practices, Terraform, Azure Fabric, Azure HDInsight, data governance, and the ability to design scalable, compliant, and robust data solutions

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and address requirements, ensuring that data systems are aligned with organizational goals
  • Educate and support staff on data architecture best practices, providing training and responding to system issues promptly
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Azure data technologies, DevOps practices, and big data tools, and integrate them into Care Access’s data strategy

Our take

Through a network of distributed clinical research sites, on-demand popup sites, mobile infrastructure, and traveling clinical professionals, Care Access allows for decentralized clinical trials especially in underserved communities.

Decentralized and virtually managed trials exploded in popularity during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, and due in part to how they can bring access to underrepresented demographics, they look set to stay.

Founded in 2016, Care Access’ work predates the pandemic, putting the company in a very strong position to lead the way as this kind of clinical trial becomes more mainstream.

Indeed, the company recently acquired IBPClin, a clinical trial center in Brazil, highlighting its intention to grow its model in South America as well as at home in the US.
