Otta's take

COO of Otta

In-person travel agents have been hit hard in recent years, meaning many people are losing out on top-tier service when it comes to planning their vacations. Tourlane solves this problem by offering customers the full travel agent experience online.

The company plans and books multi-day trips for individuals and small groups, and has maintained a laser-sharp focus on customer-centric service. This approach has worked well for the company, which is now backed by a number of high-profile entrepreneurs within the travel industry, including the founders of Trivago and Airbnb. The funding and credibility these backers have provided have allowed Tourlane to invest heavily in its technology, ensuring customers have more flexibility in their travel arrangements.

Recent funding has also afforded the company a level of financial security that many other startups in the travel sector would be envious of. The company will need to leverage this advantage wisely if it wants to continue to scale effectively.
