  • Action-oriented attitude and roll-up-your-sleeves mentality
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams, including engineers, designers, marketers, and executives
  • Analytical horsepower and a natural curiosity to solve some of healthcare’s most challenging problems
  • A strategic thinker with a customer focused mindset, and the ability to leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to set strategy and iterate on products

What the job involves

  • As Director of Product, you’ll drive strategy, define success and lead a group of product managers who make this happen
  • Defining and communicating a strong, clear vision for your product area
  • Recruiting, leading, mentoring, and developing a team of world-class product managers to build and execute against your collective vision
  • Collaborating and communicating clearly with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Marketing, BI, Sales, BD, and Business Operations to influence outcomes
  • Owning and driving key business metrics such as revenue, user growth, engagement, etc
  • Implementing best-in-class product development and management practices to ensure team success
  • Creating and launching healthcare-changing products and features to better help patients and providers connect

The platform allows millions of users each month to view open appointment times with doctors, book instantly online, read verified reviews, and keep up-to-date with checkups. The platform works for both in-person and virtual care – the latter of which has seen a substantial increase in demand. Zocdoc is one of the few companies tackling these problems in healthcare.

The company has solidified its position in the SaaS space, in part by forming partnerships with companies such as WellHive, a leader in digital care, to drive healthcare support for veterans. Going forward, Zocdoc will continue to invest in its platform to optimize its services for its users.

Oliver trained as a doctor in Germany before moving into consulting where he worked for McKinsey. During his seven-year tenure at McKinsey & Co., Oliver developed and implemented new patient utilization models for the national health services of a number of governments and major hospital chains

Nick has extensive experience in product development, database management and site architecture. He was responsible for building the earliest iterations of ZocDoc and directly overseeing its development for many of its first years
