Who you are

  • Experience: You have a proven track record as a Machine Learning Engineer or in a similar role, with experience in leading teams, even if on a small scale
  • Leadership: While extensive management experience is not required, you have an aptitude for mentoring and guiding teams
  • Technical Expertise: You have a deep understanding of machine learning engineering (MLE), including what is technically feasible and the limitations of various approaches
  • Communication: You demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly with Product Management
  • Continuous Improvement: You have a passion for innovation and a constant drive to improve existing systems and processes

What the job involves

  • Lead the integration of cutting-edge machine learning solutions to streamline and enhance financial transactions
  • Elevate our Data Product Team by delivering impactful products that solve real-world problems in the fintech space
  • Drive Innovation: Develop and execute machine learning projects that reduce manual processes and enhance customer experience
  • Collaborate: Work closely with Product Managers and the Data Platform team to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business goals
  • Mentor: Guide and expand our team of Machine Learning Engineers and Data Engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
  • Deliver Impact: Lead critical projects like OCR and fraud detection, contributing directly to the company’s competitive edge and customer satisfaction
  • Optimize Processes: Enhance project delivery processes, ensuring efficiency and high-quality output
  • 🔥 Example Project: Improve our OCR (Optical Character Recognition) tool to extract relevant information from invoices. Automatically attach invoices to related transactions, classify them, and simplify financial management for our customers

Moving forward, Qonto appears to be working on building up its presence in newer territories.
