Through the ONE platform, brands can manage all their operations from "inspiration to closet", with the means to design, market and sell in one place. When customers place an order, it is then laser cut and printed at one of ONE's facilities, and the resulting patterns are assembled by a sewing team before its drop shipped to the buyer. The bonus for brands is that they accrue no additional costs for warehousing or the disposal of excess stock - and they lose no production investment in items that do not sell well.

Although ONE's model is already efficient at reducing waste, it may be a while before its ultimate vision of an entirely sustainable production pipeline is achieved. That said, it has taken a step in the right direction with the opening of a New York assembly hub so it no longer shipping patterns to the Dominican Republic for assembly. The company will need to pull more brands onto the platform to gather momentum, but it is certainly one to watch as it develops into the future.
