Who you are

  • 5+ years of Finance, Investment Banking, Consulting, or Business Operations experience in a fast paced industry. Prior FP&A experience is preferred
  • Prior experience in technology companies supporting engineering, operations, or product teams a plus
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced and quickly changing environment
  • Strong business partnership skills with innate desire to delight customers
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Workday, Adaptive, NetSuite, etc)
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets, proficient in Powerpoint/Google Slides
  • Entrepreneurial and self-directed, can work with limited direction, demonstrated ability to innovate and bias toward action

What the job involves

  • We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst who is interested in charting the future of Reddit
  • You will partner with the most senior executives across, product, engineering, finance, and accounting to provide financial insights that will sway the future direction of the company
  • You will be the guiding force behind many of the decisions made at the highest levels of the organization by analyzing business performance and adding strategic value to business partners by providing actionable insights with a focus on driving financial health for the company
  • As the Technology Senior Finance Analyst, you will have financial and strategic oversight for managing and optimizing resource investments for the entire Engineering and Product teams at Reddit
  • This is a critical role that will be delivering key financial insights to business leaders, including the CTO and CFO
  • You will learn everything and anything about what drives Reddit from a financial perspective
  • You will work side by side with a world-class org of Technology, Product, and Business practitioners who work together to help Reddit achieve its mission
  • The Technology Finance team is brand new, so it’s an exciting time to get a chance to define the mission and identify of this team
  • Own FP&A support for business leaders within the Infrastructure, Engineering and Product organizations
  • Partner with key stakeholders to plan, forecast, and manage OpEx and headcount expenses and facilitate prioritization decisions
  • Identify and drive initiatives to improve, automate, and scale FP&A rhythms (forecast, close, variance analysis, and weekly reports)
  • Perform deep dive analysis to identify new investment or cost-saving opportunities
  • Work closely with HR, Recruiting, and Business Leaders to actively track and manage headcount to stay within budget/forecast while maximizing productivity and impact
  • Lead business reviews at a regular cadence to share performance updates and drive strategic shifts based on latest data
  • Perform ad-hoc, time-sensitive analysis and communicate takeaways
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities
