Company mission

We’re on a mission. And it’s money without borders. Instant, convenient, transparent and — eventually — free.

Role

Who you are

  • Proficient SQL: you feel comfortable with complex data, are able to perform checks and validate the output
  • Great problem-solving and structured approach: you enjoy product challenges and are keen on breaking down significant projects into manageable tasks. The output of your work contains recommendations on next steps and hypothesis based on the data observed
  • Clear communication and prioritizing: you know how to deal with multiple stakeholders, you prefer collaboration proactively with the team and choose solutions that drive 80% of output with 20% of effort
  • No prior fintech experience is needed, just be customer-centric and solve issues with data
  • You get things done

Desirable

  • Experience with pricing elasticity analysis
  • Experience with in-depth funnel analysis and segmentation
  • Experience with DBT, Looker and Superset

What the job involves

  • Your mission will be to deeply understand how our customers send money cross borders and help your team to find the biggest opportunities in the experience of sending money with Wise
  • As our Senior Product Analyst for the Send team, you’ll be at the forefront of improving the product Wise is known for
  • Convenience: Run funnel analysis to understand the key opportunities to drive end-to-end conversion, reducing the effort our customers face to send money
  • Work closely with the product managers and designers to find new insights that will drive product development and delight our customers
  • Reliability: Removing reasons why people and businesses need to use their banks to move their money
  • Ensure seamless money transfers by identifying and addressing key reasons for delays and suspensions. Size and evaluate service improvement opportunities
  • Rewarding Retention: Design and expand a cost-efficient reward strategy to encourage customer loyalty and retention
  • New Product Launches: Drive impact sizing and rollout of new products to meet diverse customer needs
  • Choose your path to impact – we believe people are most empowered when they can act autonomously. So rather than telling you what to do, you’ll work with your team to create a vision of your own. Of course, you can always gather feedback from smart, curious people across Wise, but you’ll have the freedom to make your own calls
  • Grow as a Senior Product Analyst – take the advantage of learning from a diverse team of amazing, experienced and dedicated analysts, engineers, data scientists and product managers
  • Bring real changes to the world – The opportunities you’ll identify are key to Wise reaching future millions of customers and redefining how payments work internationally at scale. Be part of our mission to make money without borders the new normal
  • A fun work environment with loads of social activities and events at your team and analytics community level

Our take

Wise started when the two founders realised they would be better off trading Estonian kroons for British pounds (and vice versa) between themselves rather than going through banks. That was back in 2011, and they've since grown Wise into one of Europe's most successful tech businesses, exchanging billions of currency every month.

Wise rapidly grew by solving a significant problem for customers, who lost too much money to banks when exchanging currency. They've attracted investment from some of the best investors in the world, from Andreesen Horowitz to Index Ventures and even Richard Branson.

The challenge for Wise will be maintaining their edge and brand power in a market that's becoming increasingly crowded with new entrants (like Revolut and Monzo) and incumbents (traditional banks) trying to catch up. To do so, the company is ramping up its digital and marketing strategies, as well as pushing for further development of its existing products.
