What the job involves

  • This role reports directly to the CEO (Sam)
  • A CEO has three roles, and you’ll be working with Sam on all of them. (1) Ensure there is enough cash in the bank (2) Set the strategy & vision, communicate it, and ensure it’s executed (3) Attract, hire and maintain a fantastic team
  • (1) When we raise a Series B, you’ll be central to managing the process, working on financial models and supporting on building the story
  • (2) You’ll be a key figure in translating strategy to action, through processes like OKRs, quarterly planning and delivery meetings. Processes typically need to change every time the team doubles, and we’re planning to grow the team 2-3x in 2022
  • (3) You’ll work alongside our People Director to ensure we’re building a great place for great people
  • You’ll be working with Sam and other executives (COO, CPO, VP Commercial, etc) to drive us towards our mission
  • We think this is a great role for someone who is interested in becoming a founder one day, or a senior executive (e.g. COO) at a fast-growing business

Application process

  • Submit an application on Otta
  • Exploratory call with Sam (CEO) to discuss motivations for working at Otta, and go through your initial questions (30 mins)
  • Take-home task to evaluate key skills for the role. We’ve worked had to keep it as short as possible to be respectful of your time (1 hour)
  • Interview with Sam & Theo (Co-founder & COO) to discuss your experiences, approach to certain scenarios and working style (1 hour)
  • Interview with Xav (Co-founder & CPO/CTO), where he’ll ask you questions around what you might bring to the role, and how you might embody our values at Otta (45 mins)
