Our mission is to make a zero-emission world a reality by helping companies factor carbon emissions into every business decision. Our software allows companies to measure and manage their carbon emissions in real-time, giving them insight into where and how to reduce them and reach net zero.

Role

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualified
  • Knowledge of UK corporate tax, UK VAT and Companies House annual filing
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in a similar accounting role
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • The right to work in the UK

Desirable

  • Prior audit experience is a bonus but not essential

What the job involves

  • Perform and maintain record of journal and accounting entries by compiling and analysing accounting activities
  • Prepare and maintain bank and general ledger account reconciliations and investigate variances for correction
  • Respond to internal and external customer enquiries related to financial transactions
  • Process accounts payable supplier invoices and ensure timely payment
  • Process accounts receivable customer invoices and ensure timely collection
  • Assist in updating and maintaining financial policies and procedures
  • Strong collaboration with external bookkeeping firm to meet end-of-month, end-of-quarter and end-of-year closing deadlines
  • Strong collaboration with external service providers to meet tax filing and Companies House annual filing deadlines
  • Finance and business partnering with the company directors on financial and other business matters
